Just a couple of my personal favorite tributes to our great grandfathers who fought for our freedom and those who saved our stripes and stars. I respect both sides of the civil war. It's hard to believe that the war happened 160 years ago. There are still men today whose fathers fought in the civil war. They're like 90 years old now- They buried unknown remains of soldiers from the civil war a month back.

The last surviving union soldier of the civil war died in 1959.
